Theological / Devotional

Burdens of wheat. Possibly compulsory contributions and exactions that the leaders demanded. These “burdens” may also refer to interest charged for money or food lent.

Ye shall not dwell. Contrast this warning of punishment with the promise of blessing recorded in Isa. 65:22.
