Theological / Devotional

As I followed the flock. Literally, “from behind the flock” (see 2 Sam. 7:8; Ps. 78:70). God’s commission was imperative, and Amos could not but obey it. Now was no time for the prophet to turn back just because Amaziah, the priest of Bethel, opposed him.
