End. Heb. qes. The use of qes, in connection with qayis (see on v. 1) is a typical play on words in the Hebrew.

Pass by them. See on eh. 7:8. Nothing more can be done for a crop at the time of harvest. Then the crop will be dealt with according to the kind of fruit that has been produced.
