Commentary on Daniel 7:20

Theological / Devotional

Stout. Aramaic rab, “large,” “great,” “big.” The clause reads literally, “whose appearance was bigger than that of its companions.” Though small at the beginning, this little horn grew until it became greater than any of the other horns. This power would gain superiority over all other earthly powers. For an interpretation of the specifications here noted, see on vs. 24, 25.
