Theological / Devotional

Evening and the morning. A clear reference to the time prophecy of v. 14 (see comments there). At the present the angel does not enlarge upon the 2300-day vision but merely emphasizes its truthfulness.

Shut thou up. Compare similar instructions recorded in ch. 12:4 (see comments there).

For many days. The fulfillment of the various details of the vision of this chapter would extend into the distant future.
