Theological / DevotionalThe prophets. It had been the prophets’ duty to call the attention of the people to their neglect of the divine precepts, as well as to give direction in present emergencies. But the guidance thus graciously bestowed had been almost totally ignored. The people’s sin was not due to ignorance but to willful disobedience.
