Theological / DevotionalWhatsoever is right. That is, with regard to the sacrificial requirements just referred to. It should always be kept in mind that many of the directives given by Moses to Israel in the wilderness could not be fully carried out until they became a settled community.
In his own eyes. That is, conscientiously, according to the law (see chapter 13:18).
