Theological / Devotional

Rise ye up. See Num. 21:13. The command to cross the Amon and invade the territory adjacent to the Jordan inhabited by the Amorites.

Sihon the Amorite. Sihon had taken this territory from the Moabites, who in turn withdrew to the south of the Amon.
