The cloth. The word translated “cloth” is the common one for “wrapper” or “mantle,” a large square cloth, usually of linen, worn as an outer garment by both men and women (used in 5; cf. Genesis 35:2; Exodus 22:26; 2 Samuel 12:20; Ruth 3:3), and used as a covering in sleep (Exodus 22:27).
