Theological / Devotional

Thou hast avouched. In Hebrew the statement thus introduced is most emphatic: “Thou hast this day caused Jehovah to proclaim that He is to thee thy God.” This was accomplished by Israel listening to the recitation of all the requirements of the covenant, and acknowledging their own obligation to abide by them.
