Commentary on Deuteronomy 28:10

Theological / Devotional

Called by the name of the Lord. Literally, “that the name of Jehovah is applied over thee,” meaning that Israel would be recognized as God’s property (see on chs. 14:2; 26:18). Thus God’s name is applied to the city of Jerusalem (Jer. 25:29). All men would know Jehovah’s relation to His people (Isa. 61:9).
