Theological / Devotional

Serve other gods. A state of complete apostasy. The nation would be abandoned by Jehovah, its king taken into exile with his people, and the people themselves ignominiously worshiping the idols professed by the nation by whom they had been taken captive (see Jer. 9:15, 16 ; 16:13).
