Theological / Devotional

Our fathers. That is, our forefathers, referring to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and the 12 patriarchs. The agreements between God and the “fathers” were personal in nature. At Sinai, for the first time in history, God entered into an agreement with an entire nation.

He was to be their King, and they His people.
