Theological / Devotional

Thy king. Literally, “young man.” The emphasis is on youthfulness, an age that is often marked by lack of thought and good sense (see Isa. 3:4).

Eat in the morning. These “princes” spend time in revelry and debauchery that should be given to duties of state (see Isa. 5:11; Jer. 21:12).
