Theological / Devotional

The mount of God. The “mount of God,” where Jethro found Moses and the Israelites encamped, was Eloreb (ch. 3:1). It had been in its neighborhood that God appeared to Moses in the fiery bush. It was near here also that Moses had smitten the rock and given water to his thirsty people (ch. 17:6).
