Theological / Devotional

All the pillars. Altogether 60 “pillars” were used to support the “hangings” which enclosed the court, or one about every 7 ft. 4 in. (3.46 m.). The “pillars” were probably of acacia wood plated with brass and were set in “sockets” or bases of brass (verse 10). The weight of these “sockets” is not given, but each must have been somewhat less than a talent (see Exodus 38:29-31).
