Theological / Devotional

The flesh. The parts of the sacrifice here mentioned were disposed of according to the law concerning sin offerings (Lev. 4:11, 12). The curse of sin that was upon them rendered them unfit for food, and even unworthy of burial within the camp. In a similar way Christ “suffered without the gate” (Heb. 13:11-13).
