Theological / Devotional

One ram. Literally, “the ram, the one,” that is, one of the two rams mentioned in v. 1. Placing their hands on the ram points to the vicarious nature of the sacrifice. As a burnt offering (v. 18), the ram emphasized the idea of self-sacrifice.
