Theological / Devotional

I will slay thy son. For fulfillment of this prediction see Exodus 12:29. Moses did not utter this threat till all other means of persuasion had been exhausted, in what he knew to be his last interview with the king (Exodus 10:29; 11:4, 5; Patriarchs and Prophets, p. 273). In doing so he apparently carried out one of the many special directives received after his return to Egypt (Exodus 6:11 ; 7:9, 15, 19; etc).
