Theological / Devotional

The sons of Kohath. Amram means “ingathering”; Izhar, “fresh oil”; Hebron, “companion”; and Uzziel, “God is my strength.”

The years of the life of Kohath. Kohath, who was born before the descent of Jacob into Egypt (Genesis 46:11), seems to have spent the greater part of his long life of 133 years in Egypt, and may have lived on into the period of oppression.
