Theological / Devotional

Thou didst prosper. Probably a reference to the time of David and Solomon, when the kingdom of Israel extended from the Euphrates to the “border of Egypt” (see on 1 Kings 4:21), and many of the surrounding kingdoms were tributary. This period was the golden age of Israel.
