Theological / Devotional

Hast thou sacrificed. A reference to Molech worship, a feature of the later idolatries of Israel (2 Kings 16:3; Psalm 106:37; Isaiah 57:5; Jeremiah 7:31, 32). In this form of worship children were sacrificed as burnt offerings (see p. 391), an unnatural and terrible crime (see on Leviticus 18:21; 1 Kings 11:7; 2 Kings 16:3).
