Theological / DevotionalWhen. Better, “and,” the Hebrew having only the simple conjunction. Sodom and Samaria are mentioned first, not from the standpoint of chronology, that they would experience an earlier return, if a literal application is intended (see on verse 53), but from the standpoint of the argument that their mention might provoke arrogant Judah to repentance.
