Commentary on Ezekiel 18:6

Theological / Devotional

Eaten upon the mountains. That is, eaten sacrificial meals to heathen deities. God severely condemned such participation in heathen feasts (Ezekiel 16:16; 22:9; cf. Deuteronomy 12:2).

Lifted up his eyes. Probably denoting a hankering after idolatry (see Genesis 19:26; Matthew 5:28-30).

Hath defiled. See Exodus 20:14; Leviticus 20:10.

Come near. See Leviticus 18:19 ; 20:18.
