Theological / Devotional

To pass under the rod. A figure of the shepherd counting and sorting his flock (Lev. 27:32; Jer. 33:13). As in Matt. 25:33, the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. The land of the restored Israel is to be a land of righteousness, and the rebels are not to enter into it.
