Sanctified in them. According to God’s plan, those nations that had been a source of provocation to their neighbors, particularly to the Jews, would be made powerless, and the people of God, brought back from captivity, would enjoy their former privileges. The surrounding nations would acknowledge the supremacy of Jehovah.
