Theological / Devotional

Great hailstones. The parallel to this is the seventh plague, when hail of the weight of about a talent will add to the destruction already wrought (Rev. 16:21). The “fire” may find its counterpart in the “lightnings” of Rev. 16:18. Of these the application is made, “Fierce lightnings leap from the heavens, enveloping the earth in a sheet of flame” (GC 638).
