Commentary on Ezekiel 7:2

Theological / Devotional

An end. The repetition of this expression is doubtless for emphasis (see v. 6; cf. ch. 12:21-28). This is the keynote of ch. 7.

Four corners. Literally, “four wings.” The expression is similar to our “north, south, east, and west” (see Isa. 11:12; Rev. 7:1). The end of Israel as a nation is here foretold.
