Theological / Devotional

Of Israel. That is, of the laity, of which 86 names in all are listed. Of the ten families represented, nine are mentioned in the list of Zerubbabel. Since two families of Bani are given (verses 29 and 34), and but one in Zerubbabel’s list, the second family of the two must have returned at a later time.
