Theological / Devotional

As we said. Evidently on a previous visit Paul had warned the Galatians against false teachers who would attempt to pervert the gospel (cf. Acts 20:29, 30). That former warning should have protected them against such impostors.

So say I now. The change from “we” to “I” probably reflects an effort to lend his personal authority as an apostle to the statement he is about to repeat.
