Theological / Devotional

Afraid of you. Rather, “afraid for you,” or “afraid about you.” It seemed incredible that the Galatians could be so easily turned from freedom back to bondage. Could it be that they really understood what they were doing and proposed to go ahead anyway? From any point of view their course of action did not make sense.

Labour in vain. If Paul’s self-sacrificing efforts on their behalf (vs. 13, 14) were to result only in the exchange of one kind of bondage for another, those efforts were indeed wasted!
