Theological / Devotional

Laban. The “blond one,” probably Rebekah’s younger brother (see on Genesis 22:23). His somewhat inglorious character, evident later in his dealings with Jacob, is reflected in the fact that upon seeing the rich gifts his sister had received he ran out immediately to meet Eliezer.
