Theological / Devotional

I am weary. In order to obtain Isaac’s consent to her plan without wounding his heart by telling him of Esau’s murderous intentions, she based her proposal upon an entirely different and legitimate reason. Isaac readily consented, for he, like Rebekah, was grieved by Esau’s wives (ch. 26:35).
