Theological / Devotional

Which thou begettest after them. This privilege was to be restricted to the first two sons of Joseph. Other sons of Joseph are not mentioned in Scripture, but if there were any, their descendants were later included in the tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh, as Jacob predicted. The adoption of his two elder sons placed Joseph in the position of the first-born, so far as the inheritance was concerned.
