Commentary on Habakkuk 3:8

Theological / Devotional

Displeased. To emphasize the divine power over the whole creation, Habakkuk asks rhetorically whether God was angry at inanimate nature when He exhibited His might. Thou didst ride. God is figuratively represented as coming with a great host of chariots and horses, as it were, to defend His people and crush their enemies (see Ps. 68:17).
