Theological / Devotional

Discover. Literally, “uncover,” or “reveal” (see Lam. 4:22).

Lewdness. Continuing the figure of Hosea’s faithless wife, the Lord warns that disgrace will follow deprivation in the case of Israel. She who was once a delight is now held in contempt and disdain.

Her lovers. See on v. 5.

None shall deliver. See on Lam. 1:2, 17.
