Theological / DevotionalMore precious. Or, “more rare.” The judgment upon the wicked involves the depopulation of the earth, and leaves it is a desolate ruin (v. 9). Only the righteous remnant will escape the general destruction. Few in number, they will be as “precious,” or “rare,” as the fine gold of Ophir.
