Theological / Devotional

Be faint. Literally, “relax,” “drop,” “droop.” This posture of the hands reflects feelings of discouragement, helplessness, and sometimes, as here, hopelessness. Men in abject despondency or terror let their hands fall helplessly to their sides (see Heb. 12:12).
