Theological / Devotional

The high mountains. Mountains in Scripture are often figurative of kingdoms. As the wrath of God will be upon the proud and lofty among men in the great day of His anger, so it will also be upon proud nations. Nations that have vaunted themselves and lifted themselves up against the Lord of hosts will be brought low and made desolate.
