Theological / Devotional

Call to weeping. The danger confronting the city should lead the people to repentance and prayer. This was true of Hezekiah (ch. 37:1-4, 15-20). In view of the coming of the day of the Lord, Joel similarly called upon the people to turn to God with fasting and weeping, that He might be gracious to them (Joel 2:12-17).
