Theological / Devotional

Not now be ashamed. Abraham and Jacob here represent all the true people of God. As the Lord had delivered the fathers of the nation, so He will deliver their descendants from all enemies. Sennacherib’s attack would bring shame and fear, but Isaiah foresaw a brighter day beyond to which the faithful might look forward.
