Theological / Devotional

The virgin. Like a virgin, Zion had been threatened by Sennacherib, who was determined to humiliate her before the world. But Zion courageously refused to submit to the Assyrian, and God would reward her for her fidelity to Him. See on 2 Kings 19:21.
