I know thy abode. Dead Sea scroll 1QIs reads, “I know your rising up and your sitting down” (see Lam. 3:63). God warns Sennacherib that He is perfectly informed concerning all his activities and his intentions. The phrases “going out” and “coming in” include every activity of life (see Ps. 121:8 ; 139:2, 3).
