Theological / Devotional

The hand of the Lord. The efforts of man are inadequate to transform this sinful world. If this evil earth is to be changed, it must be through the influences of God’s Holy Spirit, and man must understand the need of cooperating with God if he would see a better world. God created man righteous, and He alone can re-create him a righteous being (see 2 Cor. 5:17). It is the Lord who implants in man’s heart a longing for holiness (see Phil. 2:13). Whatever we see in this world of peace and beauty, of righteousness and purity, is a result of the operation of the Spirit of God.
