Commentary on Isaiah 41:27

Theological / Devotional

The first shall say to Zion. Literally, “first to Zion, behold, behold them.” The context (v. 26) and the second part of the parallelism of v. 26 imply that God is here addressing Zion. The heathen gods had failed to reveal the rise of Cyrus (v. 26), but God had done so, and that long before his birth. All might see if they would.
