Theological / Devotional

Put me in remembrance. Compare Isa. 1:18; Heb. 4:16. The passage may be paraphrased: Set before me your righteous deeds, if you can, that you might be justified thereby. If you have anything good to say in your behalf, say it; I will gladly acquit you of your record of sin if your deeds are such that they will justify you.

Let us plead. In contemporary legal phraseology Isaiah hales the people of Israel before the bar of divine justice.
