Theological / Devotional

My righteousness. That is, “deliverance” (see on v. 1). The deliverance God now promises His people will not be long delayed.

The isles. See on ch. 42:4. The restoration of Israel was to be followed by the ingathering of the Gentile nations (see pp. 28-30).
