Theological / Devotional

The moth. See on Matt. 6:19, 20; cf. Isa. 50:9. Sin and sinners will pass away, but righteousness is permanent. Transgression will inevitably bring rain, but obedience brings life and blessing (Isa. 1:19, 20, 28; John 3:16; Rom. 6:23; see on Matt. 7:21-28).
