Theological / Devotional

Sons of the stranger. See on v. 3. Gentiles were to enjoy the same rights and privileges as Jews. The only condition was submission to the Lord’s requirements.

To love. Dead Sea scroll 1QIs reads “to bless.”

The sabbath. See on v. 2. This verse is a conclusive answer to those who assert that the Sabbath is not for the Gentiles.
