James 1:16

Do not err. Or, “be not led astray,” “do not be deceived.” Satan’s studied purpose is to blind the eyes of man in regard to God’s part in the history of sin. Most of this world’s philosophies and religions are built on false concepts by which Satan seeks to distort the character of God. James would not have Christians believe that God is responsible for sin and the evils that sin produces. The following two verses suggest additional reasons on this point, lest some still be inclined to think of God as being, in some way, responsible for temptation.
